the Zimbabwe president (i use that loosely) was one of the worst leaders in history, not only did he basically destroy an economy buy inflating the market but the money that the government had in the end $217, their government had 217 dollars or 5 trillion Zimbabwe shillings (idk what they are called). To top that off he was a bigot making it to were white people couldn’t own land and as a result experienced white farmers had to quit their jobs and were replaced my inexperienced farmers.

Seriously, if we’re talking inflation, Zimbabwe makes 1924 Germany look like nothing. And kids would literally build and play in houses made of 10’s of thousands, if not millions of their currency.

The white farmers of Zimbabwe are all former Rhodesians and Afrikaners. They were the ones who tended to cultivate most of the land during the white rule as they had done since the 30s

After Mugabe’s uprising and the deposition of prime minister Ian Smith, Mugabe began violently forcing the white farmers off their farms and replacing them with inexperienced black ones who were unable to properly cultivate the land, and continued to persecute anyone who had any form of former Rhodesian or Afrikaner ties

To this day this continues
